Hae-Ran Hwang, Lydia Ko, Min-Ji Lee play together in 1R at LPGA BMW



One of the most prominent South Korean players on the U.S. Women's Professional Golf (LPGA) Tour this season, Hae-ran Hae, will be joined by Lydia Ko (New Zealand) and Minjee Lee (Australia) on the first day of the only LPGA Tour event to be played in Korea.

According to the LPGA Tour's first-round groupings for the BMW Ladies Championship ($2.2 million purse) announced on Saturday, Hae-Ran will tee off with Lydia Ko and Min-Ji Lee on the first hole of the par-72 Seowon Hills Course at Seowon Valley Country Club in Paju, Gyeonggi-do, at 10:22 a.m. on Sunday.

Hae-ran, who has two LPGA Tour wins, including a victory at the FM Championship earlier this month, will be one of the favorites in the field.

With 10 top-10 finishes in 21 events this season, she is fourth in both the CME Globe points standings (2,259.39) and Player of the Year points (101), 토토사이트 and fifth on the money list ($2,348,839).

Playing in front of her home fans, Hae-Ran Hwang will be looking to 'win it all' this season and will be up against some of the tour's biggest names from day one.

World No. 3 Lydia Ko is having one of her best years on the LPGA Tour, going 3-0 this season and winning a gold medal at the 2024 Paris Olympics in August to fulfill her Hall of Fame eligibility requirements.

Lee Min-ji is the defending champion with 10 LPGA Tour victories, including a playoff victory over Allison Lee (USA) last year.

Kim, who has raised expectations with back-to-back top-three finishes in her last two starts, will tee off from the 10th hole at 9:27 a.m. on Sunday alongside Esther Henselwright (GER) and Wei-Ling Hsieh (TAIWAN).

Yang Hee-young Yang, who won the KPMG Women's PGA Championship at this year's major, will tee off at 10:11 a.m. on No. 1 with Yin Lunying (CHN) and Gino Thititjutjer (THA).

Lim, who sits second on the rookie standings (707), is in a group with current leader Saigo Mao (JPN - 829) and third-ranked Gabriella Ruffles (AUS - 494).

Other notable pairs include Kim Hyo-joo-Carota Zimda (Spain)-Maya Stark (Sweden), Shin Ji-ae-Madeleine Saksström (Sweden)-Patti Thawatanakit (Thailand), and Choi Hye-jin-Lee Jeong-eun-Jasmine Suwanapura (Thailand).

World No. 2 Lilia Boo (USA), the highest-ranked player in the field, will tee off on the first hole at 9:05 a.m. on Sunday with Sung Yoo-jin Sung and Noe Rim Noh (USA).

World No. 1 Nelly Korda (USA) was scheduled to compete in the 78-player field, which will play four days of cut-free competition starting on Sunday, but withdrew due to a minor neck injury.
