Euro 2024 champions Spain beat Serbia 3-0 in the Nations League



Euro 2024 champions Spain cruised to a four-match unbeaten run in the UEFA Nations League.

The Spanish national team defeated Serbia 3-0 on Friday (local time) at Estadio Nuevo Arcangel in Cordoba, Spain, in the fourth match of the 2024-2025 Nations League Group 4, League A.

With the win, Spain, who have now won three and drawn one of their four matches in Group 4, including their last three in a row, moved to the top of the group with 10 points. They are three points behind second-place Denmark (W2 D1 L1 - 7).

Ronaldo, who scored against Poland on Dec. 12 (3-1 Portugal) to extend his Nations League goal streak to three games, was silent on this occasion.

With the one point, Portugal moved to 10 points with three wins and a draw to lead Group 1.

Poland, featuring former Barcelona ace Robert Lewandowski, were unable to hold Croatia to a hard-fought 3-3 draw in their fourth League A Group A match.

After conceding the opening goal through Piotr Zielinski (Inter Milan) five minutes into the match, Croatia raced into a three-goal lead by the 26th minute.

However, after conceding a late goal through Nikola Jalefsky (AS Roma) just before half-time, Croatia fell just short of victory as Poland, whose offense came alive after the introduction of Lewandowski in the 17th minute of the second half, equalized in the 23rd minute.
